Travel & Street

Travelling gives you this unique opportunity to be around new people and places and to see them through fresh eyes. This naturally leads to new ways of seeing things and that's why for me travel and street photography are so important. My belief is that travel photography can actually enrich your experience, it can make you more observant of your surroundings, rather than less, and more open to learning and new discoveries. Limobe is available for travel/cultural assignments and you can be guaranteed of images that will capture the heart and soul of the destination. I also have some excellent photos stock images from Japan, Taiwan, Italy, UK, Prague, Dubrovnik, Paris, parts of Australia and much more. Please use the contact tab for more information.

Hokkaido, Japan 2010

I was lucky again this year to get over to Japan and up to the northern island of Hokkaido, where during the winter months snow falls in quantities so copious that you start wondering whether there could be such a thing as too much snow...Aside from amazing snow, Japan is a place that usually leaves a deep mark on anyone that visits. The people are incredibly warm and welcoming, the landscape is achingly beautiful and the culture is enough to draw people back time and time again for this rare combination of addictive ingredients. So here are a few photos from this years trip that might hopefully give you a feel for the place. That was my 4th trip to Japan, if you ever get the chance to get over there, don't even hesitate.

6 days in Taiwan

If you're anything like me you might tend to equate Taiwan with manufacturing, smog, and mayhem. Whenever I used to hear the word used I'll admit that is what came to my mind, and to be honest it would have been right up there with Siberia as one of my ideal destinations. Let me tell you that Taiwan, like so many things in life, is not at all what you think it is. This place totally won me over within about 24 hours so after 6 days I was totally sold. The people there are hospitable and warm and although the big cities like Taipei (The capital) are hectic in their pace, there is a rhythm to the chaos because the people know their place and are not hung up on trying to prove otherwise. As you move away into the country you realise quickly that there is lots of beauty to be found, both cultural and scenic. They have amazing coastlines, gorges, and some of the highest peaks in the region which I was surprised to find out are well covered in snow during the winter. So there's the sales pitch, if you ever have the chance to visit then go with an open mind and I am pretty sure you will be blown away as well.
